Salford Crescent Police Station

The 1950s police station on the ‘The Crescent’ provides a ‘landmark’ building close to the centre of Salford. The four storey steel frame building constructed above extensive basements was constructed immediately after the war. Being constructed in post war Britain, the building contains some unusual features including a pitched precast concrete roof to prevent bomb damage and two subterranean escape routes leading from the basement bomb shelter.

TRP Consulting were appointed by ‘Salford Central’ to carry out an investigation and survey of the building to assess its structural integrity and advise on potential constraints to redevelopment.
